Shot in the Dark
Just weeks before Christmas, in the sleepy town of Early, Iowa, two men break into the home of Tracey Richter and attack her while her children hide in a nearby bedroom. Tracey shoots and kills one of them in the process, claiming self-defense. But as investigators look closer at the case, something about her story just doesn’t add up.
